Wedding Story Contest

For instance, many people of Scottish descent wouldn't
think of marrying without a bagpiper leading the procession.
Jewish couples marry under a canopy and seal
their vows by breaking a wine glass. Some couples, rather
than following old traditions, invent new ones - as evidenced
by the rise in popularity of destination weddings.
This year's Club Contest is the Wedding Traditions Essay
Contest - a celebration of the rituals that surround the
wedding. Tell us about your personal wedding memories
or write about a unique ceremony or reception you've
attended. Share the details from foods to costumes
to dances that made the day more memorable.
Or if you prefer, tell us a story about a wedding that took
a break from the traditional. If you'd like, you can include
a photo to enhance your story. The more interesting
the wedding and the more creatively you express your
thoughts, the more likely you are to be a winner!
